Connecting your digital devices to eduroam
Eduroam is the primary wireless network, replacing WolfieNet-Secure. Using the SecureW2 onboarding tool ensures your device trusts the correct root certificate and prevents your access from expiring unexpectedly. Please follow the following steps:
On Campus:
- Connect to the SBU-GetConnected WiFi. Use your browser to visit eduroam.stonybrook.edu to access the SecureW2 onboarding tool.
- Follow the step-by-step directions to configure your device type. Once completed, your device will be configured to use eduroam as the official network.
Off-Campus or on Home Wi-Fi:
- Just connect to your home Wi-Fi, then enter eduroam.stonybrook.edu in your browser (Safari recommended on iOS).
- Follow the Get Connected directions to complete the SecureW2 onboarding for your device's operating system.
